Terms of Service
The short version: learn generously, play fair, and your words are yours.
Last updated: 12 July 2026
1. Agreement
These terms are a contract between you and Limund Ltd (71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ), the company behind Wocably. By creating an account or using the Wocably app or wocably.com, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
2. The service
Wocably is an English vocabulary learning app: flashcards, spaced repetition (Leitner and Woci modes), a dictionary with pronunciation, decks, gamification and personalized stories. The free tier includes daily limits (such as the Ink system); Wocably Pro is a paid subscription that removes limits and unlocks premium features. We keep improving the app, which means features may change, be added or be retired over time.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old.
- Keep your credentials secure — you're responsible for activity on your account.
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
4. Subscriptions & billing
- Pro subscriptions are purchased through the App Store or Google Play and billed by them, from weekly plans to a one-time lifetime purchase.
- Recurring subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period — manage or cancel in your App Store / Google Play subscription settings.
- Refunds are handled under the rules of the store you purchased through.
- If a price changes, you'll be notified in advance as required by the store; continuing the subscription means accepting the new price.
5. Fair use
When using Wocably you agree not to:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
- publish offensive, harmful or misleading content in community decks;
- scrape, copy or redistribute our dictionary or story content at scale;
- reverse-engineer, attack or disrupt the service, or bypass usage limits;
- impersonate others or misuse someone else's account.
6. Your content
The decks and words you create are yours. You grant us the license we need to host, display and sync them so the service works. If you make a deck public, you also allow other learners to view and fork it. We may remove content that violates these terms.
7. Our content
The Wocably app, brand, design, dictionary content, stories and software are owned by Limund Ltd or its licensors and protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app for learning — not to resell or redistribute it.
8. Disclaimers
Wocably is provided "as is". We work hard on reliability, but we can't promise uninterrupted service, and — as much as we believe in spaced repetition — we can't guarantee specific learning outcomes. Nothing in these terms affects rights you have under consumer law.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Termination
You can stop using Wocably at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, after notice where reasonable. Sections that by their nature should survive (IP, liability, governing law) survive termination.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes belong to the courts of England and Wales — unless mandatory consumer law in your country of residence gives you additional protections.
12. Changes
If we make material changes to these terms, we'll notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Wocably after changes take effect means you accept them.
