The method
In 1885, Hermann Ebbinghaus mapped how memories fade: most of what you learn is gone within days. Spaced repetition beats the curve — each review lands just before you'd forget, and each interval grows longer.
Wocably Stories
Personalized stories generated from the words you're learning. Learn in context, remember longer.
The rain had just stopped when Mara left the café. The air was thick with petrichor, and the streetlights gave every puddle a luminous glow. It was a small, ephemeral moment — but walking home, it felt like pure serendipity.

Spaced repetition is a learning technique based on the forgetting curve, first mapped by Hermann Ebbinghaus in 1885. Each word is reviewed just before you would forget it, with intervals that grow after every successful review — so words move into long-term memory with the fewest possible reviews.
Wocably teaches English vocabulary to learners at every level, from A1 beginner to C2 mastery. The app's interface is currently in English, and the words, definitions and stories you study are in English — which is exactly what makes it work as immersion.
